This gorgeous couple, Christie+Brad, tied the knot overlooking the ocean at the Samoset Resort in Rockport, ME. Christie looked stunning walking down the aisle in her Vera Wang wedding dress. With Chad Michael Peter's exquisite flower arrangements lining the aisle, a beautiful string trio playing in the background, and weather you dream of for your outdoor wedding, the early evening ceremony was like one straight out of a movie! After the ceremony Brad escorted his bride to their poolside cocktail hour, where they enjoyed summer drinks with their guests. During their tented reception, the rockin' band K2 kept everyone on their feet dancing the night away!

Annalisa and Todd had a beautiful Sunday wedding at the Four Seasons Boston. Their wedding day was the perfect day for a wedding. Annalisa, dressed in a gorgeous j. Crew gown, was so happy to walk down the aisle with Todd. The ceremony took place under a chuppah, surrounded by all their closest family and friends. The reception was decked out with The Tangled Web's amazing green and white flower arrangement. All-in-all, it was a fabulous day for a great couple!

I was SO excited when Jackie and Kyle asked me to photograph their wedding. Last fall I photographed Jackie's sister's wedding at the Four Seasons Boston. Jackie and Kyle met in college at Holy Cross. Next spring they will walk down the aisle at the chapel on their alma mater's campus. They loved the Four Seasons last year, and chose it as their reception location. I have no doubt that this will be a fabulous wedding! I had the BEST time photographing this little one the other day. Finley Rose is three-weeks-old and sooo cute!! She slept through most of the session, only stirring a bit when she was hungry. I couldn't help but get some pics of her big brother Cam. He has so much personality, the sweetest dimples, and couldn't be nicer to his new little sister. Overall, it was a great session. I loved this wedding! Jaclyn and Marc could not have been happier, their day was exactly what they were hoping for. I started with Jaclyn and the girls at the Four Seasons. Jaclyn looked so pretty, and all her bridesmaids were looking stylish in their black cocktail dresses. The ceremony was at the chapel on the Tufts University campus. We shot some photos outside of the chapel and then headed to the Public Garden for the rest of the photos. The reception room was filled with beautiful Winston flowers and a crowd ready to dance the night away!!

Tanya and Shant had an absolutely gorgeous Armenian wedding ceremony and reception. The ceremony was held an St. Stephen's Church in Watertown, Ma. This was the first time I had witnessed an Armenian ceremony, and I was thrilled and honored to be a part of it. The reception was filled with great music, TONS of family and friends, and a packed dance floor!

I was originally going to meet Leigh and Jim at the Public Garden, but when rain was in the forecast we needed a back up plan. The Institute of Contemporary Art was the location we came up with and it couldn't have been any more perfect. It's one of my new favorite Boston engagement session locations.

I've had the pleasure of photographing a hand-full of weddings where BRICKPARK has been the wedding reception entertainment. They are a fantastic band! They do an acoustic set during dinner and without fail get everyone on the dance floor after. They play a mix of the rock classics, 80's hits (my fav) and new and current songs. WOW! Was this shoot on a cold day or what. Erin and Ned endured the cold weather to get some great engagement photos. I will admit I was a little worried we wouldn't make it through the whole photo shoot, but Erin and Ned were the ultimate troupers. I didn't hear one complaint from either of them the entire time. My job was very easy on this particular day, I simply said "look at each other," and instantly they both smiled from ear to ear. Erin and Ned are so excited to walk down the aisle at Harrington Farm next October.

I had so much fun photographing Suzanne and Dave's wedding. They truly had an amazing day. The site, Glen Magna Farms, was beautiful. Garden after garden with the most gorgeous flowers. There was even a lily pond WITH a frog, in the middle one of them. It seemed like a location out of a fairy tale. Suzanne looked stunning and from the look on Dave's face when her saw her, he certainly agreed. The dance floor was filled the entire night and when the last song played it was a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Christina and Mike at met Holy Cross College, where they both went to school. They now live in the Big Apple, but had their wedding ceremony at the Holy Cross Chapel. I met Sarah and Ryan on a Friday afternoon at the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain. What a great location for an engagement session!! There are endless posibilties for places to shoot in this park. It's also very private...as of now....I think once the rest of Boston realized how nice it is someone will have to take the "hidden" out of "hidden gem!" Sarah and Ryan met a couple of years ago at work and will be walking down the aisle in September. I can't say enough nice things about this couple....super nice, a lot of fun, tons sparks flying between the two of them, and incredibly down-to-earth. I'm so excited to be shooting their wedding. Gorgeous Intercontinental Wedding

Kelly+Sunho's big day was on April 25th, 2009. Mother Nature gave them an absolutely perfect day. The ceremony and reception were held at the Intercontinental Boston. The setting was beautiful, in a hand stenciled ballroom with a paroramic view of the water, Kelly and Sunho said their vows and enjoyed a fun-filled reception. Kelly, a graphic designer, created all the designs for the menus, programs, table numbers etc. The food was customized to their liking, the salad was based on one of their favorite Cheesecake Factory salads. Overall, the day was a delight, filled with heartfelt sincere moments. Below are some of the photos from their wedding.

I had so much fun shooting Kelly and Sunho's engagement session, it was a beautiful day in Boston (notice the blue sky!). Spring is officially here!! (even though it might not quite seem like it) But I'd say in the couple of weeks the beautiful Boston spring weather that we all know and love will be here to stay. This is a great time to book your engagement session. Engagement sessions are a lot of fun, very casual, and a perfect way to get to know your photographer. You'll end up with a great set of images of you and your fiance. Use the photos for a save the date, send the online link to friends that don't live close by or incorporate them into your wedding deco. I always get the question, "what should we wear?" I say, just go casual, simple, and comfortable. Wear outfits that coordinate, complementary color. The most important thing to do is have fun and be yourself, it will totally come through in the photos.

I just finished Kate+Brian's wedding album. They had an absolutely gorgeous wedding at Bourne Farm in West Falmouth. Hurricane Hanna blew in the morning of the wedding so their planned outdoor ceremony had to be moved into a tent. However, the sound of the rain accentuated the ceremony and the rain stopped as the ceremony was ending. Guest enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour and we were able to get some beautiful photos on the grounds of Bourne Farm. The reception party was a BLAST!! Following the heartfelt and funny toasts, the guests danced the night away. It was a fabulous wedding and I'm so happy I was there to be a part of it. Here are some pages from their album.

I made the big move!! My studio is now located in the heart of the Back Bay on Berkeley Street between Boylston and Newbury. I couldn't be happier...the studio is perfect for k. Photographie. It's is bright, cozy, and has a great view of Boston. I did a lot of research and looked at a lot of spaces, but when I walked into this one I instantly knew it was "the one." Ok, this is my first blog!! I finally took the plunge. I've wanted to start a blog for awhile but have always been a little intimadated because I didn't know where to begin. So, I'll start by introducing myself. My name is Kate Femino. I'm a wedding photographer in Boston, and I absolutely love my job! I love weddings, I love being the one to capture the day through photographs. The details (dress, flowers, shoes, table settings, bling-bling:)), the music, the people, the atmosphere, EVERYTHING. I have about a month until my first wedding of the season and I cannot wait. Here are a couple shots from last season!
